MINSK (
BelTA) – A modern digital platform for travelers, Smart City, will go live in Belarus starting in 2027, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization.
The state program Tourism sets ambitious goals for creating a modern digital environment for travelers. One of the key tools for achieving them is the Smart City platform, whose full-scale launch is planned for the early 2027.
“One of its advantages is a single digital window: tourist sites, an interactive map, events, and services will all appear in one space. Users will also have access to smart routes, individual and group trips with photos, audio guides, and other useful information. Tourists will be able to explore sites even before their trip, through virtual tours and 3D exhibitions,” the press service said.
Looking ahead, the platform is set to cover the full life cycle of a tourism product, from an initial interest in a destination through to the journey itself, ultimately becoming a national tourism aggregator.
“This is how digital technology becomes not a separate service but an environment that brings together the traveler, business, and the state,” the press service emphasized.
