MINSK (
BelTA) – Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova met with a delegation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), BelTA has learned.
The delegation traveled to Minsk at the invitation of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus. The delegation is headed by Wang Guosheng, chairperson of the Committee on Economic Affairs of the CPPCC National Committee
“Today, cooperation between our countries is developing in absolutely all areas. This is an all-weather, comprehensive strategic partnership,” Natalya Kochanova noted. “The Belarusian president signed a directive on giving this partnership practical substance, and 15 areas have been identified. The visit of our colleagues from the People's Republic of China once again confirms that we are committed to advancing the agreements reached by the leaders of our countries.”
The chairperson of the Council of the Republic emphasized that this is very important both in terms of trade and economic cooperation and in humanitarian matters. “Cooperation between our countries is developing in absolutely all areas. For us, interparliamentary interaction is undoubtedly important. We work closely with the National People’s Congress of China. A high-level committee has been established, and we have already held three meetings. At the annual meetings, we review the progress in implementing the agreements reached by the leaders of our countries. We have invited representatives of the Political Consultative Conference and the Economic Committee to once again examine how our cooperation is developing in economic terms. First of all, this is the Belt and Road project. Its pearl is the Great Stone park, which already has 170 resident companies from 15 countries. Of course, this is about investment and innovation projects. Today we once again carefully studied the status of economic cooperation between our countries,” Natalya Kochanova stated.
As a successful example, the Speaker cited the BELGEE car producer, which the Chinese delegation will visit on 12 September. “We have truly good interaction, and the momentum is there. Chinese technologies and joint innovative developments are what strengthen our economy and our cooperation with the PRC at all levels,” Natalya Kochanova said.
