Kochanova: Belarus-Russia regional forum is gaining momentum

MINSK ( BelTA) – The Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is gaining momentum every year, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova said in an interview to STV channel, BelTA has learned.

“The Forum of Regions is gaining momentum every year. This year the forum envisages in-person participation. The forum was held online in the previous two years due to the COVID-19 epidemic. We are looking forward to this forum to meet our friends and counterparts face-to-face,” Natalya Kochanova said.

According to her, there are enough important issues on the agenda. “The program will include a plenary session, panel discussions. The issues that will be considered are relevant. We understand that the world has changed, life has changed. Cooperation with the Russian Federation is important to us more than ever today. It has always been so as Russia is our strategic partner in all respects. Recently it has become especially important,” the speaker said.

The 9th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will take place in Grodno on 30 June – 1 July.
