Legislation governing the issuance and use of documents for exit from and entry to the Republic of Belarus amended

Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 8 January 2017 No.7 amended legislation regulating relations in the sphere of forced migration concerning the procedure for issuance and use of documents for exit from and entry to the Republic of Belarus, including to foreign citizens and stateless persons. In particular, the Edict amended provisions of the Regulations on documents for the exit from the Republic of Belarus and/or for the entry to the Republic of Belarus of 3 June 2008, which set forth the rules for issuance of travel documents to foreign citizens and stateless persons residing in the Republic of Belarus.

The Edict was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 10 January 2018 and entered into force after its official publication.
