Lukashenko signs resolution, directive concerning state defense

MINSK (BelTA) – President of Belarus, Commander in Chief of the Belarusian Armed Forces Alexander Lukashenko signed a resolution and a directive concerning the state defense. The documents were signed at the session of the Security Council of Belarus on 16 December, BelTA has learned.

Defense Minister of Belarus Andrei Ravkov told reporters that the participants of the session thoroughly analyzed Belarus' defense plan for the next five-year period. According to the minister, the plan was developed taking into account the profound analysis of the current situation in the world and in the country.

The President listened to a number of reports from Belarusian officials regarding the fulfillment of this plan and gave instructions about the implementation of this plan at various stages.
