Amendments into Law concerning the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in Belarus approved
The Law of the Republic of Belarus of 16 December 2019 introduced amendments in the legislation on the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Belarus, the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus informs.
The amendments approved regulate, in particular, issues concerning formation and maintenance of the list of foreign nationals and stateless persons who have no right to enter the Republic of Belarus, issuance of permits for permanent residence or refusal to issue such permits, registration of foreigners temporarily staying or temporarily and permanently residing in the Republic of Belarus.
The Law was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 21 December 2019, and the amendments approved enter into force from 1 July 2020.
