Temporary ban imposed on export of flax from Belarus outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union

Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 28 September 2018 No. 705 imposed a temporary ban on export of flax of heading 5301 of the Single Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union, being exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. The ban does not apply to the export of flax to the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Georgia, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Republic of Serbia.

The Resolution provides that the export of flax from Belarus outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union shall be carried out according to one-time licenses to be issued by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

The Resolution was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 2 October 2018, entered into force from 4 October 2018 and will be effective for six months.
