Amendments to the Civil Procedural Code concerning international recovery of child support and other forms of family maintenance approved

The Law of the Republic of Belarus of 8 December 2018 introduced a new article to the Civil Procedural Code of the Republic of Belarus providing a procedure for consideration of requests according to the Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance. In accordance with the procedure, such requests are to be considered by regional courts or the Minsk city court at the place of residence of the creditor or the debtor.

The Law was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 17 November 2018 and enters into force in ten days after its official publication.
