Amended Law on counteracting monopolistic activities and developing competition officially published
The Law of the Republic of Belarus of 8 January 2018 amended the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On counteracting monopolistic activities and developing competition” of 12 December 2013 via approving its new wording.
The amended Law determines organizational and legal bases for counteracting monopolistic activity and unfair competition and is aimed at providing conditions for development of competition, creation and effective functioning of commodity markets. The Law does not expand to relations regulated by general competition rules for transborder markets the control over which is referred to the competence of the Eurasian Economic Commission
The new wording of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On counteracting monopolistic activities and developing competition” was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 2 February 2018 and enters into force in six months after its official publication.
