President cancelled compulsory sale of foreign currency by legal persons and individual entrepreneurs

According to Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 31 July 2018 No 301 “On cancellation of compulsory sale of foreign currency”, legal persons and individual entrepreneurs, being residents of the Republic of Belarus, are not obliged to carry out compulsory sale of foreign currency on the internal currency market of the Republic of Belarus. The measure is aimed at stimulating business activity and creating equal conditions for organizations of all forms of ownership.
Within six months, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank shall bring acts of legislation in compliance with the Edict and take other measure for its implementation.

The Edict was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 2 August 2018 and entered into force after its official publication.
