Myasnikovich calls for more open parliamentary activity

MINSK (BelTA) – The parliamentary activity should be more open, Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said in an interview to the STV channel, BelTA has learned.

“We are working publicly, transparently,” the Speaker said.

In his words, the Council of the Republic monitors the adopted laws. “We supervise the operation of the adopted laws,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich.

“The stable legislation benefits economic entities, investors, citizens. The rules of the game are clear. However, with life rapidly changing, the legislation should be oriented on the middle and faraway perspective,” he said.

In his words, 90% of the parliament has been renewed. “This is very good. People have made part of the parliament to do good, make themselves useful,” Mikhail Myasnikovich added.
