Belarus' export promotion program for 2016-2020 approved

Belarus' Council of Ministers approved the national export promotion program for 2016-2020 and a roadmap for its implementation. It is envisaged in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus  No.604 of 1 August 2016.

The program is aimed at the growth, development and diversification of the national export, first of all, innovative and high-technology exports, enhancement of the efficiency of the government support for export promotion. The implementation of the roadmap events will increase the volume of high-value exports, modern materials and complete products with improved features, further develop the export of technically and technologically-intensive products, and also increase the export of high-tech and intellectual services (engineering, technical, computer and education).

The program is coordinated by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among the program executors are national government bodies and other state organizations, local executive and regulatory bodies.

The Resolution was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 9 August 2016 and it enters into force after its official publication.
