New rates of value added tax on services for carriage of passengers by urban and suburban public transport

The Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 25 March 2016 No. 111 established that from 1 March 2016 the value added tax for carriage of passengers by urban and suburban public transport shall be charged at the rate of 20 percent, and from 1 April 2016 the rate of the value added tax on telecommunication services provided to subscribers shall be 25 percent. The Edict also approved the minimum subsistence level budget for the period from 1 March to 30 April 2016 in the amount of 1640000 rubles.

The Edict was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 29 March 2016.
