Belarus toughened up laws concerning penalties for poaching

Tougher penalties for poaching are provided by Law of the Republic of Belarus of 24 October 2014 “On introduction of changes and additions into some Codes of the Republic of Belarus". In particular, stricter sanctions are established in the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offences for illegal hunting and fishing and also for illegal transportation of dead wild animals and caught fish.

The Law has been officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 6 November 2014 and enters into force in ten days after its official publication.
