Belarus has acceded to the CIS Convention on standards of democratic elections

The Law of the Republic of Belarus "On accession of the Republic of Belarus to the Convention of standards of democratic elections, voting rights and freedoms on the states – members of the Commonwealth of Independent States" was signed by the President of the Republic of Belarus on 4 January 2014. The Law provides for the accession of Belarus to the Convention with the reservation: “The implementation of the Convention is carried out the Republic of Belarus on the basis of priority of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and in the order provided by clause 1 of Article 19 of the Convention".
The Law was officially published on 30 January 2014 on the National Legal Portal of the Republic of Belarus.
