Belarus signed memorandum of cooperation with Indonesia

The memorandum of cooperation between the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Representative Council of Indonesia was signed in Minsk on 4 May. The document was inked by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko and the Speaker of the People’s Representative Council of Indonesia Marzuki Alie.

The memorandum is to foster closer cooperation between legislative commissions, to provide more support in various international organizations.

The Belarusian and Indonesian MPs discussed an array of issues. One of them was the creation of a task group in the Parliament of Indonesia on cooperation with the Parliament of Belarus. The Belarusian Parliament has a similar task group on cooperation with the Parliament of Indonesia.

Among other issues discussed were the opening of the Embassy of Indonesia in Belarus and the right for Belarusian citizens getting visas in airports and seaports of Indonesia.
