Belarus, Nigeria sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Republic of Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei met with a delegation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria led by Viola Onwuliri, First State Minister of Foreign Affairs, on 30 July 2013.

Vladimir Makei and Viola Onwuliri signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on bilateral consultations. The Belarusian Foreign Minister noted that the visit of the Nigerian delegation is expected to give an impetus to the bilateral relations.Nigeria plays an important role in West Africa and is a regional economic power. Belarus is interested in expanding all-round cooperation with this country.

The delegation as well visited MAZ and MTZ to hold talks with top executives of these companies on possible cooperation.
