Decree on some issues relating to legal practice and advocacy adopted

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 265 "On Some Issues Relating to Legal Practice and Advocacy" is aimed at clarifying the implementation of the law "On Legal Practice and Advocacy in the Republic of Belarus".

The Decree envisages some changes and amendments into the law. Also it approves two substantial documents: “The Regulations on State Registration of Republican and regional (Minsk city, regional), bar associations, law firms” and “The Regulations on State Liquidation of Republican and regional (Minsk city, regional), bar associations, law firms”.

The Regulations on state registration provide that the state registration of the Bar, law firm is to be performed by the Ministry of Justice. The Regulations give the complete of documents to be submitted for such registration.

The Regulations on state liquidation administers the process, stages and documentation necessary for liquidation of the Bar, law firm.

The Decree enters into force after its official publication.
