Belarus co-signs agreement on new group of countries of IMF

According to the Belarusian Embassy in Austria, Belarus took part in the signing of the agreement on a new group of countries of the IMF (Central and Eastern European Countries) in Vienna on 11 July.

The diplomatic mission informed that following the reorganization of the so-called Belgian group of the International Monetary Fund, the agreement on the group of countries of the IMF (Central and Eastern European Countries) that included the Republic of Belarus was signed involving Federal President of Austria Heinz Fischer.

This group encompasses Belarus, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Kosovo.

Taking part in the signing ceremony was an official delegation of Belarus that included Chairperson of the Board of the National Bank of Belarus Nadezhda Yermakova and First Deputy Finance Minister of Belarus Vladimir Amarin.

The Belarusian delegation also held a number of bilateral talks.
