New regulations on duty-free shops approved

The Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 17 January 2012 No 38 sets forth principles of regulation of duty-free trade in Belarus. According to the Edict goods may be bought duty-free on board aircrafts of Belarusian airline organizations carrying out international passenger traffic and in duty-free shops located at border check points in airports and in such shops created in the territory of the Republic of Belarus by the state organization servicing diplomatic corps and official delegations. The Edict approved the Regulations on duty-free shops containing dispositions governing their activities in the Republic of Belarus.
The Edict enters into force from the day of its official publication.
