New regulations concerning the lease of state property approved

The Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus No 150 of 29 March 2012 approved Regulations concerning the procedure of granting of state property into lease and determining the amount of the rent for leased state property. The Edict established that the rent for lease of state property will be determined based on lease base units. According the Edict a lease base unit is equal to 54 000 Belarusian rubles. Later on the Government of the Republic of Belarus shall annually establish the amount of the lease base unit taking into account the change of the consumer price index for the elapsed year in relation to the preceding year. The changed amount of the lease base unit will be applicable from the 1st of April of the year in which it is established.
The Edict entered into force from 1 April 2012.
